Frequently Asked Questions

All chairs stacked

Q. Do the chairs stack?

A. The chairs can stack 10-12 high. However, dlb... recommend that the chairs should never be stacked more than six high due to health and safety.

Q. What materials are the chairs made from?

A. The Max Chairs and the Flo Stools are made from two main materials. The shell is made from polypropylene and the frame is made from 22.2mm steel tubing. The frame is then powder coated to give a matt silver finish.

Q. Is the chair durable?

A. Unlike many polypropylene chairs on the market, The Max Chair seat mould locks onto the frame before any screws or rivets are used. The seat is further strenghtened by three screws locking the frame and the mould together.

Q. Is the chair child-friendly?

A. All efforts have been taken to ensure that all edges, holes and corners have a smooth finish avoiding the possibility to ladder tights, snag trousers or cause abrasions to the skin.

Q. Is it impossible to tilt the chair backwards?

A. dlb... have never claimed that the chair is impossible to tilt back or infact impossible to fall off. However, due to extensive research and testing, we feel that the chair is significantly more difficult to tilt backwards, or to fall off backwards. dlb... aim to reduce the number of accidents.

Q. Is the chair better for your back?

A. Although dlb... cannot claim that The Max Chair will avoid adults or children suffering back pain, it has been engineered in accordance with the BS EN 1729 standards. These standards aim to give better back support to children at various key stages of their growth.

Q. What colours do the chairs come in?

A. The dlb... Max Chair standard colours are Ocean Blue, Charcoal Grey, Ruby Red and Forest Green. dlb... can however provide bespoke colours for individual schools with a minimum order of 500 units or a small premium for smaller quantities.

Q. Will the dlb... Max Chair be available for reception and nursery classes?

A. A full range of dlb... products ranging from 3 year olds to adults will be available to order from April for an August delivery.
